Bangkok has a huge Japanese population and therefore an amazing ramen scene, with several of the big Japanese ramen chains represented.
I struggle to make a top 5 list, I could list over 15 very solid ramen bowls.
But one stands head and shoulders above all others.
The Tori Paitan Ramen at Mensho Tokyo
It’s a very thick chicken and duck broth instead of the usual pork soup. Absolutely day killing, food coma guaranteed. It’s far better than the signature wagyu ramen which is also triple the price.

A worthy second choice is Bankara Ramen on Sukhomvit 39 which does the more traditional Tonkotsu (pork broth). Bankara is a delightful place to eat, a little slice of actual Japan.
Little booths, Japanese beer out of frosted glassses. Excellent bar snacks (the fried chicken is superb).
Handmade noodles in a thick unctuous pork broth. This is many of my Japanese friends favourite ramen in Bangkok.
